Why so long away?

It's been a long while since I've posted anything new and the reason is that I've really been trying to figure out what I am, and if this blog should continue. But, calling myself a Wannabe Vegan fits more than it ever did before.

I want to be a vegan, but the truth is that I am not. I am a firm believer in a religion that teaches that animals are here for a purpose. They are here to help us, feed us, and keep us warm. Just because I don't wear animal skins and furs or eat meat doesn't make me a vegan or even a vegetarian. I stopped eating dairy and meat because I have a bad reaction to it. But I have found out what I am.

I am a believer that people don't see animals as something special and sacred. We shouldn't take their lives the way that we do. We should respect the life being sacrificed for our sake. We should look upon the death of an animal as something we do to live, not as some sport or because we rule over them!

People blame the hole in the ozone on emissions and pollution and whatnot, but the main cause of the hole is due to cows farts. No lie people! Look it up! The fact remains that the hole would not be here or would not be as large if ranchers weren't breeding like crazy.

How much meat does a person really need to eat to get their protein in? A lot less than what people think. Maybe 3oz a day. A day! Not per meal. Vegetables have protein in them. Beans have protein in them. Find your protein other ways and reduce the harm to animals.

I am not a vegan. I'm not even a good vegetarian, because my beliefs aren't what they should typically be for that lifestyle, but I do hate the way animals are bred. I hate the way they are treated and I hate the chemicals that are given to them and then consumed by humans. Why is the USA so unhealthy? Too much meat. Too many chemicals in the meat. Too many animals that are being "harvested" that have festering wounds or broken limbs. And these sick and wounded animals are left to suffer all so they can become fat and sold for more money. What does it matter if they are in pain?

The fact remains that people don't think anything of taking the life of an animal. It is disgusting and disturbing to me. I don't have a problem with hunters who hunt and actually eat what they hunt. I have no problem with people raising their own animals for food, but the commercial "harvesting" is wrong and should be limited and changed.
